| How do you write the music for my lyrics? |
I have written several hundred songs over the years, each of which I have created music for while I'm writing; sometimes after I write. Most of the time I've got the music figured out after the first read-through of your lyrics.
I own several thousands of dollars worth of recording equipment and take the sound quality of my music very seriously. I haven't received a single complaint about my music.
Most music is composed with my professional-quality electric keyboard. Occasionally, I'll record in layers using different instruments, such as a guitar or harmonica. Similarly, I've been known to sing background to my own songs as well. |
| Can I give you music from a song I heard on the radio? |
You can give me as many song samples as you like. But you're music will still be customized and not sound identical to what you heard on the radio. There are music ownership rights involved with other people's stuff, so I just avoid using it.
I like writing music, and love sampling pieces from other writers, but I never use copywrited music in any of my recordings.
If I find out that you have submitted copywrited music, our contract is immediately void. Just do the right thing. :) |
